Who We Are
The Strait Turners is a local chapter of the American Association of Woodturners, an organization that promotes woodturning through sharing, education, information, outreach, community and inspiration. Since 2017 our club has served woodturners on the Olympic Peninsula, including Sequim, Port Angeles, Port Townsend, Bremerton and surrounding areas. We are all volunteer, self-funding, and registered with the IRS as a non-profit 501(c)(3).

With over 75 members, we are a diverse fun group of passionate people who are at various levels of skill development from novice to experienced with a broad range of interests. Our members are from all walks of life who share a desire to grow in their knowledge, skills and artistry in woodturning. Our elected Board of Directors guide and establish the goals and activities for the club according to our By-laws. 

To learn more about our club you are invited to attend one of our monthly meetings where you will have access to informative educational opportunities and demonstrations by national and international professional woodturners.
